This route is perfect for the people who love travelling, but don?t have enough time for long trips. It?s a great chance to see Altai. You?ll be impressed by the beauty of pine-forests and endless steppes, ice-covered mountain tops and green hills, rapid rivers and noisy waterfalls. You?ll see great Teletskoye Lake, picturesque Aya Lake and, of course, crystal-clear mountain lakes. This trip is a good combination of different activities: from trekking and rafting to archaeological sightseeing.
There are 2 variants of the tour program. The routes are similar but directions and duration are different.
The total duration ? 12 days (including transfer from Novosibirsk) / 11 days (from the starting point of the tour)
The duration of active part ? 9 days
The distance ? 525 km by bus (from the starting point) + 140 km (by boat) + 50 km (trekking)
The number of participants ? 6-20 people

1st, Thursday |
Transfer from Novosibirsk to the camping ?The new Empire of tourism?. Departure. A comfortable bus, 440 km. |

2nd, Friday |
Arrival at the camping ?The new Empire of tourism? (left bank of the Katun river, next to Aya Lake) about 7:00 AM. Accommodation in tents, getting equipment, getting acquainted. |

3rd, Saturday |
Transfer from ?The new Empire of tourism? to the Bolshoi Ilgumen river. A road trip along the famous Chuisky highway (Tract). The landscape is changing from hills and taiga forests to high mountains (by bus, 230 km). |

4th, Sunday |
The Bolshoi Ilgumen river - the Maashey river. A sightseeing of ancient rock paintings in Kalbakh-Tash (by bus, 120 km). |

5th, Monday |
A hiking trip (12 km) from the Maashey River to Maashey Lake (there is a sharp ascent). From the shore of Lake Maashey (2050 m above the sea-level), you?ll get a wonderful view of the North-Chuisky Range?s peaks ? Karagem (3750 m) and Maashey (4173 m). |

6th, Tuesday |
The trekking to the Maashey Glacier and back to the Maashey River, 18 km. |

7th, Wednesday |
A road trip through the Red Gates (175 km), the Ulagansky Range (2080 m above the sea-level). ?Dead lake? and a number of small beautiful lakes. The Pazaryk culture valley (burial mounds are about 2500 years old). The Katuyaryk Range will take your breath away. The final point is the Chulyshman river canyon with vertical walls and a lot of waterfalls. |

8th Thursday |
Day off. An excursion asross the Chulyshman River to the mouth of the Chulcha River. Trekking trip to the Chulcha waterfalls (the way is not easy ? be careful) ? The Chulcha waterfalls are the highest in Altai. Water falls down from 160 m. |

9th Friday |
The Chulysman River rafting by a special catamaran. A trip to the Kyrsai Cape in the south shore of Lake Teletskoye (6-8 hours, 60 km). |

10th Saturday |
A rafting trip to the Idyp cape (45 km). You?ll be impressed by the beauty of Teletskoye Lake. You?ll get exciting feelings during the trip. Teletskoye Lake occupies the area of 230.8 square km, its depth is about 325 m, more than 80 rivers flow into it and the only one flows out ? the Biya River. |

Rafting to the camping place near Artybash village (35 km). |

Rest on the shore of Teletskoye Lake. |

The transfer to Novosibirsk by a comfortable bus (620 km). The departure at 11 AM, the arrival at 11 PM |
