This tour will give you a whole idea of the Altai mountains. The route will pass through different picturesque places, such as Lake Teletskoye, the Biya river, the Chulyshman river, the Bashkaus river, the Chuya river, the Katun river, the Korbu and the Chulchinsky waterfalls (160 m high). You?ll visit the mountaineering centre Ak-Tru (2150 m above the sea-level). It was the earthquake?s epicenter in 2003. You?ll have a chance to explore the Dennis Cave and get acquainted with the relics of ancient civilizations ? a world-famous prehistoric settlement, about the oldest in Asia. You?ll pass through the Ulagansky, the Katuyaryk, the Yabogan, the Chike-Taman (1700 m) ranges. But it is very difficult to reach the most beautiful places. There you?ll meet the roadless plains, streams? overflows and other obstacles you have to overcome. An experienced guide, a good driver and a cross-country vehicle will help you.
