Winter ski travel about Altai
In winter you travel about the spurs of Sumultinsky, Iolgo, Altyn-Tu Ridges, which are the most snowy regions in Altai. The thickness of snow is about two meters. The soil is melting under snow during the whole winter and rivers are not fully covered with ice. The Katunsko-Teletsky basin is a natural physico-geographical reserve. There are no any roads here, large industrial regions are far away. That is why snow in this place is considered to be a standard of cleanness, and the nature is a standard of virginity? Wild nature of the Altai Mountains influences greatly a house-dweller. This ski travel is considered to be adventure tourism. A man who has made up his mind to take such a step should ski with a rucksack on his back very well. Must be ready to sleep in a winter tent with a stove, when the temperature outside is about -40oC. The delight you get of dealing with the mysteries of Sibirian taiga will exceed you discomfort while taking part in such an unusual travelling. The operating staff will provide a ski-track, carry group equipment and food.
